New Year, New Hardware: Nano CAN Bus Shield

Happy New Year!

We're starting 2026 with a new product: the first and only CAN Bus shield designed specifically for the Arduino Nano.

Adding CAN communication to an Arduino Nano typically means dealing with breakout boards, jumper wires, and unreliable connections. We built a shield that mounts directly to the Nano instead.

The board uses the MCP25625 integrated controller and transceiver, plus an onboard AP3602 boost converter for 3.3V microcontrollers like the Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect. It maintains compliant 5V CAN signal levels and includes a physical switch for the 120Ω termination resistor.

Works with standard Arduino MCP2515 libraries. Example code on GitHub.
