Breakout board for the MA600 high-resolution, high-bandwidth TMR magnetic absolute angle sensor. Utilizing advanced Tunnel Magnetoresistance (TMR) technology, the MA600 delivers ultra-low noise and reliable, contactless angle measurement with zero digital latency. Features an on-chip 32-point calibration lookup table capable of achieving <0.1° INL system accuracy. Useful wherever research-grade, deterministic angle measurements are required. Application examples: BLDC/PMSM motor commutation, robotic joint actuators, and precision rotary knobs.
Connects directly to the Tinymovr R-series via a 6-pin JST-GH cable. Supports a 3.3–5V power supply via a built-in low-noise LDO. Breaks out all GPIO pins and a 3.3V output (max 100mA) to hacker-friendly, labeled 2.00mm pin headers. The sensor IC is well-decoupled and protected via dual filtering capacitors and TVS diodes. Component placement minimizes magnetic interference to the sensor.
The board has ∅3mm mounting holes located diagonally at a 24mm diameter for easy mounting directly onto common brushless motor stators. Thanks to the MA600's wide magnetic field tolerance (10mT to >100mT), it supports robust end-of-shaft and off-axis mechanical layouts.
Monolithic Power Systems provides a comprehensive Arduino library for use with MA702 and other sensors, which is compatible with this breakout.
