We're excited to announce the X5 Motor Controller — the latest addition to the Tinymovr lineup, designed specifically for makers and engineers building robotic joints and actuators.

Built for Robotic Actuators

The X5 is purpose-built to drive high-performance robotic actuators like the GIM3505 and GIM3510. Whether you're building a robotic arm, a legged robot, or a precision joint mechanism, the X5 delivers the smooth, responsive control you need.

Dual Absolute Angle Sensors

One of the X5's standout features is its integrated dual absolute angle sensors. Unlike incremental encoders, these sensors retain full output position data even after power-off — no homing routine required on startup. That's a significant advantage for any application where positional accuracy matters from the moment power is applied.

Field Oriented Control (FOC) at 6A Continuous

With 6A continuous phase current and Field Oriented Control, the X5 provides smooth torque delivery across the full speed range. FOC minimizes heat and noise while maximizing efficiency — exactly what you want in a compact robotic system.

Flexible Connectivity, No Soldering Required

The X5 supports CAN (dual port), UART, and SPI, giving you plenty of integration options for your control architecture. Compact screw terminals handle motor phases and power supply connections — no soldering needed, so you can get up and running fast.
